Prof. M.C. George, Former Head of the Department, Commerce, Newman College
Thodupuzha. He has over 27 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and post
graduate levels. He was awarded M. Com from Mar Ivanios College Trivandrum (Kerala
University)in 1966. He started his teaching career in 1967. During the period he has served
in various leadership capacities like National Service Scheme Programme Officer, Staff
Secretary, Staff Cooperative Society President, Head of the Department etc. He was an
excellent teacher with predominant knowledge in all commerce subjects and was noted for
his unique teaching style. He retired from Newman College in 1994. Best paper selected in
the Conference will be awarded Rs 10,000 and “Best Paper Award Certificate”
