About the seminar
As the higher education institutions across Kerala gear up for the implementation of the four-year undergraduate curriculum, there have been concerted efforts to equip the academic community of our state to effectively implement the NEP reforms as laid down in the Kerala State Higher Education Curriculum Framework. A thorough understanding of the various courses and credit distributions in the Curriculum Framework, student mobility, ABC, OBE, online learning, and multiple entry and exit pathways are essential for the effective implementation of these reforms. The higher education institutions across Kerala look forward to introducing the four-year degree programme and revising the syllabus according to the stipulations of the proposed framework.
It is crucial that the academic community consisting of the faculty members and administrators are well informed about the proposed Curriculum framework. This awareness will help the educators to make necessary deliberations to enhance student outcomes. In this present context, Vimala College (Autonomous), Thrissur is organising a two-day National Seminar with the academic collaboration of KSHEC, for the College faculty across Kerala, during 18-19 September 2023.
The expected outcome of the programme is the understanding of the following:
• Kerala State Higher Education Curriculum Framework
• Practical challenges and solutions in implementing curriculum reforms
• Academic bank of credits and student mobility
• Academic discourse on effective implementation of revised curriculum framework in Kerala
• NEP preparedness of HEIS
