The annual
Dr. Sr. Ritty J Nedumpara Endowment Lecture is a prestigious state-level event
organized by the staff, students, and alumnae of the Post Graduate and Research
Department of Physics. This lecture series was established to honour Dr Sr
Ritty J Nedumpara, the former Head of the Department of Physics and Vice
Principal.
On the 15th of January 2024, the presence of renowned
scientist Dr K Muraleedharan, CSIR Scientist Emirates, C-MET Thrissur, added
prestige to the occasion. Dr Muraleedharan K delivered an enlightening lecture
on the topic ‘Optical Fibres and Fibre Bragg Grating Based Sensors –
Applications’. Dr. Muraleedharan's emphasis on the vast potential of optical
fibres in various fields, along with insights into important technologies from
CSIR-CGCRI and DRDO, likely provided valuable information for the attendees.
