Homestead farming

“Dark green leafy vegetables; yellow or orange fruits and vegetables; red fruits and vegetables; legumes (beans) and peas; and citrus fruits” i.e the go to for a healthy diet , we all know this . But we also know that excessive MONO intake can cause respiratory failure , DDT exposure can affect the liver and reproduction . A few things we know but choose to avoid because accepting it means accepting we are subject ourselves to poison willfully. This leaves with a problem with no effective long term solution.

After all there is only so much the government regulations can do . But are we truly and completely helpless ? In today's age of controversial plastic cabbages and raw fruit made ripe in minutes , homestead farming gives us a realistic, possible, practical and affordable solution. A few plants in your backyard may not seem much in the way of a sustainable and healthy lifestyle but being able to trust in what you ingest is a big deal when people are dying of cancers and other diseases caused by the poison injected into the ‘supposed to be healthy vegetables and fruits ’ .

It only takes a few yards of land in your backyard or small garden in your terrace to cultivate vegetables like spinach , chillies , ladies’ fingers and eggplants. Homestead farming provides us with both an engaging pastime as well as a healthy source of vitamins. So what's the harm in trying ? Let's eat healthy by cultivating healthily.
