Homestead farming


Homestead is a house land owned by a family. The homestead often consists of a farmhouse and land devoted to crops or animals. Homestead farming is a preservation of food. Homestead is the household compound for a single extended family. By growing a variety of crops homestead farming farmers  avoid economics risk. 

Harvests throughout the year ensure that there is always some products of economic value available to the household. Homestead farming is a lifestyle of self sufficiency. It may also involve small scale production. Homestead farming is a operational farm unit in which a number of crops are grown. It is mainly for the purpose of meeting the framers basic needs.
