Mr. Antony.p James the Academic and IQAC Coordinator of Don Bosco College Mannuthy extended a warm welcome to the gathering, highlighting the importance of such initiatives.
College Principal Reverent Dr. Fr.Johnson Ponthempally SDB delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the significance of the bridge course in preparing students for their academic journey ahead.
The inauguration of the bridge course was marked by a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment in the academic journey.
This program was inaugurated by our special cheif guest Dr.Fr. Thomas koonan whose insights and achievements greatly contributed to Don Bosco Institutions,In hand Rector and manager of Don Bosco schools Mannuthy .
Followed by his address, College vice -rector Fr.Devassykutty kollamkudy SDB delivered an inspirational message, encouraging students to make the most of the learning opportunities presented during the bridge course and emphasizing the values of dedication and hard work in academic pursuits.
followed by his message ,College Administrator Fr. Shino jose SDB extended felicitations to the organizing committee and participants, acknowledging their efforts in making the bridge course a reality and underscoring its importance in shaping the future of the students.

Ms.Minu Thomas - HOD English Department of Don Bosco College expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their participation and support in making the inauguration and commencement of the bridge course a success. She acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the organizing committee and highlighted their dedication to enriching the educational experience at Don Bosco College Mannuthy.
The program was concluded with a valuable section on the topic Importance of newspaper by Mr.G.Anil Kumar- Assistant Manager,The Hindu Group.
The bridge course will be spanned over One week starting from 19 June 2024 to 27 June 2024, prior to the commencement of regular classes. Sessions were held daily from 8.45 Am to 2.30 Pm , accommodating various subjects and skill-building activities.
Upcoming days are scheduled with the projects like :
□Academic subjects: Emphasis will be placed on core subjects relevant to the student's chosen disciplines, including Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies.
□Study Skills: Sessions on effective study habits, time management, note-taking techniques, and examination strategies were conducted to equip students with essential academic skills.
□Orientation to College Life: Students were introduced to college facilities, library resources, extracurricular activities, and campus regulations to familiarize them with the college environment.
□Interactive Workshops: Interactive workshops on communication skills, personality development, and teamwork were organized to enhance overall personality growth and interpersonal skills.
Methodology:
The course employed a mix of lectures, interactive sessions, group activities, and practical exercises to cater to diverse learning styles and maximize engagement among students.
Feedback and Evaluation:
Regular feedback sessions will be conducted to assess student's progress and gather inputs for further improvement. At the conclusion of the bridge course, a comprehensive evaluation will be undertaken to gauge the effectiveness of the program.
