Prof. I. Shanmughadas (Film Critic & Alumnus of the Department of English) delivered Inaugural address on the topic 'Books in our Life', in a National Seminar on "New Voice, New Reading" in connection with 'Reading Week' organised by Readers' & Writers' Club and Research & PG Dept. of English at Kaviprathibha hall on 27th June, 2024. It was presided over by Rev. Dr. Martin K. A., Principal.
The afternoon session of the Seminar included a special lecture by Dr. Megha K. Jayadas (Assistant Professor of English, St Joseph's University, Bengaluru) on the topic 'Gendered Reading'. Followed was a discourse on the topic 'Readers and Reading' by the writer Sri. K. P. Ramanunny.
