KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
The cadets of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, conducted programs to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, paying tribute to the brave hearts and heroes of the 1999 Kargil War. The events took place on July 25 and 26, 2024. The cadets conducted a series of events, including Mobile Quiz, Pushup Challenge, Spot Games, and Treasure Hunt, to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, promoting patriotism and teamwork among participants.The Students of CMS LP School were the Chief Guests,and NCC Cadets paid a floral tribute to the Kargil War heroes, honoring their bravery and sacrifice. Principal Dr. Sr Blessy presided over the event and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of honoring the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. Through this event, the CMS School students gained awareness about the Amar Jawan , a symbol of eternal flame that pays tribute to the brave soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country. A meeting was held, commencing with a speech by Captain Litty Chacko, who shared the story of Kargil, highlighting the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. A cadet delivered a poignant presentation on the Kargil War, highlighting its significance and bravery. The event concluded with a screening of the Army-inspired movie 'Sam Bahadur', leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
