The
third successful day of ‘HEADSTART’ 2024
One Week Student Induction Programme for I UG students at St.Mary’s College
(Autonomous), Thrissur commenced with an
Awareness session on Drug Abuse Prevention for students. The program was held
in the Marian Auditorium from 10:30 to 12:00 PM on 27 th June 2024. The guest
speaker, Sri K. Y. Shafeeq, District Coordinator of the Excise Vimukthi
Mission, Thrissur, pointed out the reasons why
adolescents turn to substances. The session was highly interactive, engaging
students in meaningful dialogue. The program aimed to raise awareness and equip
students to combat substance abuse effectively. 
The
second session was organized by the Performing
Arts Club of College,which was an Orientation by Sri. Avanoor Jayan,
Senior Theatre Artist. Mr.Jayan handled the session in a student centric manner
by ensuring students participation. The session was very engaging.
