The Department of English at Carmel College (Autonomous), Mala, in collaboration with the Academic and Research Wing of Dhisha, organized an enriching one-day inter-collegiate workshop titled “Gender Rhythm” aimed at deepening the understanding of gender, sexuality, feminism, and intersectionality. The workshop featured three insightful sessions, led by distinguished resource persons, including Mr. Anagh, Joint Secretary of Dhisha, Dr. Sheethal S. Kumar, Head and Assistant Professor at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, and Mr. Aanandh C Rajappan, an intersex activist and Secretary of Amigos Trans Collective. 
Through interactive discussions and expert presentations, the workshop provided participants with a comprehensive exploration of contemporary issues in gender studies, fostering awareness and critical reflection on the diverse and intersecting aspects of identity and social justice. The event proved to be a significant platform for students and faculty to engage with thought-provoking topics and contribute to ongoing dialogues about gender inclusivity and equality.
